Overview

The standard EDID on a 3G Just Add Power Transmitter does not currently display a 4K Roku at it's native resolution settings. To get a Roku to output 4K video, a special EDID must be applied.


Recommended Roku Settings

  • Video Resolution: 4K SDR (60Hz)
  • Audio: Stereo or Dolby Digital 5.1 (any)

Just Add Power Transmitter Settings

If you are experiencing video tearing on 4K60 content on the Roku, follow the steps below to optimizes video encoding for Roku 4K60, as default settings do not always provide ideal performance.

  1. Login to the webUI of the Transmitter connected to the Roku.
  2. Go to the Menu in the top-right corner and select CLI (hotkey CTRL+ALT+ENTER)
  3. Paste the command below into the CLI window and hit enter:
astparam s ast_video_quality_mode 3;astparam save;reboot
  1. The Transmitter will reboot to indicate the command was issued successfully.
