Overview

Just Add Power Omega devices that support Power Over Ethernet (POE) are classified as IEEE 802.3af devices, meaning they use no more than 12.95 watts.


Power Usage

POE usage varies depending on the features currently in-use

  1. No live video (Encoder or Decoder) = 3-4 watts
  2. Live video under standard conditions (Encoder or Decoder) = 6-7 watts
  3. Initial boot-up and maximum usage (Encoder or Decoder) = 10 watts
