KVM Support Overview

Firmware Versions

KVM Support (USB) is supported on all versions of Omega/Ultra Firmware

• B1.2.1 through B3.0.2 (current)

Commands

The KVM link between a Receiver and Transmitter does not connect automatically. In order to connect the Receiver and Transmitter over KVM, a command must be sent to the Receiver to initiate the link.

• On systems with Firmware B3.0.0 and later, send this command: usb connect
• On systems with Firmware B2.0.0 through B2.3.9, send this command (will also cause other active KVM connections to briefly disconnect and reconnect): usb start
• On systems with firmware B1.0.0 through B1.2.1, send this command (will also trigger a brief drop in video): video start

Supported KVM Devices

KVM on 3G Ultra supports up to 5 devices controlling a single Transmitter at a time.

KVM supports Bulk type USB devices:

• USB 2.0
• Keyboard
• Mouse
• Touchscreen
• Gaming Controller or Joystick
• Flash drive
• PTZ camera control
