Overview
Just Add Power recommends using VLAN Switching whenever possible, as it provides the best performance and reliability for video distribution. Luxul switches are fully supported when configured with AMP VLAN.
This article is intended for projects where VLAN Switching cannot be implemented. Follow the instructions below to configure a Luxul switch for use with Just Add Power Multicast Switching.
All Just Add Power devices should be configured using the AMP software.
Multicast Switching is supported on firmware version B2.1.0 and later.

Download Configuration Files
Use the pre-built configuration files below to quickly prepare a Luxul switch for Just Add Power Multicast Switching.
Each configuration file includes the following default settings:
- Username: admin
- Password: admin
- VLAN 1 (Data Network) IP: 192.168.0.4 /24
- VLAN 2 (Just Add Power Video Network) IP: 172.17.255.254 /16
- Default Gateway (Router): 192.168.0.1
Modify Configuration Files
Instructions for editing configuration files are included in the download package. If your network settings differ from the defaults, follow these steps to make the necessary changes:
- Start with the pre-built Primary switch configuration file.
- Update the Default Gateway to match the IP address of the router at the jobsite.
- Update the VLAN 1 IP address to match the subnet used by the router and control system.
