Configuration

To configure the Q-SYS AMP VLAN driver:

  1. Run AMP VLAN to configure the Just Add Power system
  2. Load ONLY ONE instance of the JPSW Matrix Control driver
    • In JPSW Properties, enter:
      • the IP address of a single active Just Add Power device. This device will act as the controller for the system and will switch sources for all displays. We recommend using the first Receiver, typically at 172.27.1.1.
      • Port = 23 (default, do not change)
      • Number of Receivers: set to the number of Receivers (displays) in the system
      • Number of Transmitters: set to the number of Transmitters (sources) in the system

    • The plugin will expand to show a grid to switch sources on a single Receiver/Transmitter combination
    • The Manual Switch option below allows multiple Receivers to be switched to a single Transmitter simultaneously. This function works well for batch switching, like video wall displays.

  3. Load ONE instance of the Receiver driver for EACH Just Add Power device - either a Transmitter or a Receiver - that needs to control one of these features:
    • Video wall control
    • Tiling layout control
    • Endpoint control (IR/RS232/CEC) of sources or displays
    • WARNING: Multicast Switching Channel MUST be set to 0 in the Receiver driver for the system to work properly. Any other Channel number in an AMP Standardized system will result in non-functional video. If the value is set to something else accidentally, setting back to 0 will fix the issue.

  4. Please see the plugin help file for more information
