Overview

MaxColor supports high-quality video sources at 4K60, 4:4:4 color space, 36-bit color depth. The HDMI cable must also be able to support these requirements.

Just Add Power MaxColor devices require HDMI cables that are:

  • Passive
  • Premium High Speed or Ultra High Speed

Definitions

A Passive HDMI cable:

  1. does not have a processor and does not need power
  2. is bi-directional
  3. does not indicate anything about cable bandwidth or quality

A Premium High Speed HDMI cable:

  1. is certified for ultra-reliable performance for 4K/UltraHD at up to 18Gbps bandwidth
  2. supports 4K60, HDR, and expanded color spaces including BT.2020
  3. features low EMI
  4. has packaging showing the Premium HDMI Cable Certification Label

An Ultra High Speed HDMI cable:

  1. supports all HDMI 2.1a features including uncompressed 8K60 and 4K120
  2. supports up to 48Gbps
  3. is backwards compatible with existing HDMI devices
  4. features exceptionally low EMI which reduces interference with nearby wireless devices
  5. has packaging showing the Ultra High Speed HDMI Certification Label
