Overview

Starting with firmware version A6.5.5, 2G Series Just Add Power Encoders and Decoders support disabling the Power and Data LED indicators.

This feature is useful in environments where visible LEDs are undesirable, such as theaters, conference rooms, or other light-controlled spaces.

LED control is performed by sending a command via the Command Line Interface (CLI) using Telnet to the device’s IP address on port 23.

Firmware Requirements

  • Series: 2G Series only
  • Minimum firmware version: A6.5.5

Command

lightsoff.sh

Important notes:

  • This command applies only to 2G Series devices.
  • The setting does not persist through a reboot or power cycle.
  • The command must be reissued after each restart.
  • Internal LED activity is not affected.
