Just Add Power devices have 2 green lights on the front of the device that are diagnostically relevant: a Power Light and a Data Light. On a rackmount unit, the lights on the port-side are diagnostically relevant.
Receiver Interpretation:
A Receiver with a solid Power Light and blinking Data Light has:
- Booted up properly
- An active network connection (not necessarily to another Just Add Power device)
A Receiver with a solid Power Light and blinking Data Light does NOT have:
- a compatible video signal from a Transmitter
- Transmitter is not receiving video from the source
- Receiver is not on the same firmware as the Transmitter
- Receiver is not on the same IP scheme as the Transmitter
- The Receiver is unable to communicate with the Transmitter over the network
Transmitter Interpretation:
A Transmitter with a solid Power Light and blinking Data Light has:
- Booted up properly
- An active network connection (not necessarily to another Just Add Power device)
A Transmitter with a solid Power Light and blinking Data Light does NOT have:
- An active video source
- No video source is connected to the Transmitter
- Video source attached to the Transmitter is not powered on
- Video source attached to the Transmitter is passing an incompatible video signal
