Overview
AMP - Advanced Matrix Programmer - configures Omega, Ultra, or MaxColor devices into an HDMI matrix switching system.
AMP is the spiritual successor to JADConfig. If you were previously using JADConfig to configure Omega and Ultra systems, you can continue to use it for maintaining those systems. However, we recommend that NEW systems should be configured with AMP.
There are two types of systems that can be configured by AMP:
- Standardized Configuration
- AMP configures all Omega, Ultra, and MaxColor Just Add Power devices AND the switch.
- Uses supported switches from this list.
- Select Build & Expand to get started.
- Builds systems with up to 63 switches, 101 Transmitters, and 3023 Receivers
- Alternate Configuration
- AMP configures all Omega, Ultra, and MaxColor Just Add Power devices. YOU are responsible for configuring the switch.
- The switch must be configured according to minimum requirements.
- Select Alternate Configuration from the bottom-left corner to get started.
- Builds systems with up to 9,999 Transmitters and theoretically unlimited Receivers (based on network design).
Standardized Configuration is preferred. It essentially converts the switch into a video matrix switcher, with the added benefit of being able to use extra ports for data devices.
See Standard vs Alternate Configuration to determine which type of system is best for the job site.
